Well, it’s been a while since we’ve been able to get any videos made. Life has been… let’s say… a little busy lately lately. Progress on our tiny homes has been slow but steady. We’re looking forward to getting back on track making videos soon!
We had a request for an animal update, so Miley is taking you with her as she does the chores so you can see how they are doing. There’s cuteness, silliness, frustration, and even a surprise! I’d tell ya all about it…but it’s more interesting if you watch….
We are building loft stairs with storage. I plan to use them as a pantry and for kitchen storage. Now that they are complete, it will make access to the loft easier so we can get wiring and insulation completed. One thing I learned building them is it takes patience, skill and an extra large supply of drill bits.
After doing a lot of research, brainstorming, and thinking I finally came up with a design for my loft stairs. I wanted something that would give me a lot of storage and be easy to climb up and down. We got started building them with the goal to get them done in a day, we didn’t quite make it so you’ll have to tune in to part two to see how they turned out.
Feed sacks, laundry baskets, buckets, wooden boxes, barrels, pots…. if it will hold dirt, she will grow vegetables in it! Check out my mom’s beautiful container garden…. you don’t need a lot of space to grow a lot of vegetables.
Pigs can be hard animals to worm or medicate because their strength makes it hard to catch and hold them down. We learned a super simple way to worm them that doesn’t require any of that. In fact it’s so easy that it makes worming the pigs actually fun.
Ever wonder what happens if you get a set of arms for your chickens? Most likely you’ll be buying an apron and bows to dress them up. So then, what happens when you dress a chicken? Well…. THIS happens…….
After spending an entire day, plus a portion of another day digging, we FINALLY FOUND our water line! Because we used pex pipe, the actual installation of the water line took no time at all compared to the the time we spent digging and looking for the water line. One thing for sure, we’re so happy to have water and have that job behind us!
We’re digging to run our water line. Sounds simple,right? Well, it’s not…. because we can’t find our water line! How will we ever find it? You’ll have to watch and see…
It’s another AWESOME day of working in my shed to house. We got some more electrical wiring run, and the most exciting part is we got the cutest porch light ever installed. Isn’t it so cute?
