It’s the last day of our 3 day celebration and we’re playing more games… I think we’re finally getting our fill of games, at least for a little while. Our turkeys have been acting like bullies and if they don’t quit they just might end up in the freezer.
We had a fun New Year’s celebration with family. There was games, food, laughter and silliness…. a great way to end one year and start out a new one.
Most of the family was off for the weekend so we decided to have a 3 day celebration. My sister and niece are staying 3 nights and we plan to stay up late, play games and just enjoy each others company… ya know, all the good stuff of life.

Started the day out with the normal chores, then did a little laundry, went shopping and when we got home we found a package had arrived.
The storm’s over so we ventured outside to get fresh air and see how all the animals are doing.
We were wrapping presents and all of a sudden we heard someone on the roof… who could it be? Miley got her favorite cookies cut out and baked so we’re getting a couple steps closer to being ready for Christmas.
Well, it was one of those days where we really should have just given up, went back to bed and started the day over again. But despite the rough start, the day actually turned out pretty good and best of all we got the majority of our Christmas baking done.
I’ve been worried about the turkeys getting too cold at night since they don’t like to go up. I finally took some time to do some research and found that turkeys are actually cold hardy and do fine being left to fine suitable shelter for themselves.
